Why is Obama Scaring Seniors?

I was about floored by President Obama’s comment over the budget battle going on between him and Congress. A sitting president actually said….

“I cannot guarantee that those checks will go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it,” said Obama.

I was floored because I frankly don’t believe it will happen, I was appalled because I could only imagine what some of our senior citizens and disabled were thinking when they heard this. I kind of blew it off because I don’t collect Social Security so as appalling as it is to hear this, it won’t affect me. Or, will it?

Boy was I wrong. My wife was talking to my 81-year-old mother today. She’s very freaked out that, thanks to Obama, that she may not get a Social Security check next month and she’s wondering how she’ll pay for things like food and rent if there really is no check. I’m sure there are probably hundreds of thousands and perhaps even millions of seniors and disabled who are also very upset and worried.

To that I say that President Obama should be ashamed of himself to say the least.  It’s amazing that a Democrat president, whose party regularly accuses Republicans of being non-human, non-caring individuals who only care about and cater to big business and don’t care about the poor and disabled, would say this. If that statement doesn’t prove Obama and the Democrats are hypocrites, I don’t know what else anybody could say or do that would.

It is apparent that our narcissist President really does not care about anyone besides himself and getting his way. This is proof that there is no bottom to what he will do, or who he will use, as long as his agenda is met. Scaring the seniors and the disabled of this country seems to be to set a new low for a POTUS.

I sincerely hope everyone who depends on Social Security and everyone who will soon be collecting it remembers the cavalier attitude this president has about you when it comes time to vote in 2012.

I don’t ever ask my mother about her voting habits (or anyone else for that matter) as I believe strongly in the sanctity of the voting booth. I do, based upon her behavior, think she voted for Obama in 2008. I’ll lay a bet down she will remember this in 2012 and she will not be voting for him again.

If you want to see and hear it for yourself watch the below video. Don’t even get me started on the military not getting their checks. That’s just as bad if not worse.

According to this article on Christian Post Timothy “Turbo Tax” Geitner has said this………

“A broad range of government payments would have to be stopped, limited or delayed, including Military salaries, Social Security and Medicare payments, interest on debt, unemployment benefits and tax refunds,” said Geithner.

You have to wonder what insane minds run the government these days.

What Goes Around…..

Cartoon from 1934 Chicago Tribune

This is from 1934 when Franklin D. Roosevelt was President of the United States of America. Does this per chance remind you of anyone? How about what’s going on right this minute with our current POTUS Obama?

Back then Roosevelt gave us the “New Deal.” Now Obama is giving us the “Raw Deal.” It appears Speaker of the House John Boehner is giving the Democrats “Any Deal” they want. Frankly, I was happier with Richard Simmons “Deal a Meal.”

77 years later, we still have insane minds running our government. Unfortunately the MSM has been taken over by the very same insane minds who conveniently ignore the disaster called Washington, DC.

Is Being “Green” Going Too Far These Days?”

Well, I just read this article about a torso (body) being found on a conveyor belt at the CDL Recycling plant in Seattle. It prompted me to question if this is really a homicide as claimed by the police, or if it was just some greentard who’s trying to take recycling to the next level? At the very least it’s a new use for the green bin.

Even ‘Bubba’ Gets It

Left of left-wing liberals like Obama & Company and Jerry ‘Moonbeam’ Brown, think that raising taxes is some sort of panacea to cure-all the revenue induced ills of government. The real successes result in lowering taxes, not raising them. This is a concept that another Democrat President understood.

John F. Kennedy comprehended it, implemented it and had success with it. To quote JFK……..

“Lower rates of taxation will stimulate economic activity and so raise the levels of personal and corporate income as to yield within a few years an increased – not a reduced – flow of revenues to the federal government.”

– John F. Kennedy, Jan. 17, 1963, annual budget message to the Congress, fiscal year 1964

According to some news media, the recent lowering of the temporary state sales tax and vehicle registration fees in California (due to Jerry ‘Moonbeam’ Brown’s failure to extend the them) has, in a matter of days, caused an increase in people buying ‘big ticket’ items they perhaps would not have had it been extended again.

It’s such an obvious move (unlike the two Obama administration “stimulus packages’ that failed), that even Bill Clinton ‘gets’ it. According to Politico……..

President Bill Clinton says the nation’s corporate tax rate is “uncompetitive” and called for a lower rate as part of a “mega-deal” to raise the debt ceiling.

It doesn’t make sense anymore — we’ve got an uncompetitive rate. We tax at 35 percent of income, although we only take about 23 percent. So we should cut the rate to 25 percent, or whatever’s competitive, and eliminate a lot of the deductions so that we still get a fair amount, and there’s not so much variance in what the corporations pay.

Let’s face it folks. America is overtaxed and uncompetitive with the world, and that’s just on the Federal level. Figure in a state like California and you add to the misery index for corporations. California has the 2nd highest tax rate, the only one worse is Rhode Island.

Let’s take what President Clinton is talking about and go one step further. Increasing the misery index are the burdensome regulations not only imposed on a Federal level but also on a state level. One could again look at California. Business not only has to deal with Federal OSHA, they also get to deal with CAL OSHA, they don’t only have to deal with the Federal EPA, they have to deal with the onerous California State Water Resources Board. It’s double jeopardy, which frequently results in double costs to businesses.

Finally, I’ll put forth what is going on between Boeing and the National Labor Relations Board. The latter are trying to prevent Boeing from opening a plant in South Carolina, a right to work state (aka non-union). Yes, we now have the Federal Government attempting to overstep their bounds and start telling businesses where they can operate, or not, as the case  may be, in an effort to appease their big union backers who appear to own them lock, stock and barrel.

If the United States of America is going to compete with the likes of China and many other countries on the planet, the government needs to wake up and lower taxes, reduce onerous business regulations and stop attempting to interject themselves into the decisions of private business.

If this does not happen soon, I predict many more businesses will be either leaving the country for greener pastures or folding up, crushed by onerous taxes and regulations. I would ask the Obama Administration and others to think about where their campaign donations will come from when their union buddies are out of work?

More insane minds? Time will tell.

Still Bush’s Fault?

...and you thought I was a turkey? Look at Obama's spending!

Still think it’s George W. Bush’s fault? Just look at that chart below and tell me about it. It’s from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). As you can see, GW’s spending doesn’t even begin to compare with Obama’s. Seems we have some insane minds who think otherwise even though Obama has been on watch for almost 2 1/2 years.

No wonder Obama wants to raise taxes! I say no tax increase! It’s rather obvious we need tax-cuts! Immediately! Let’s not wait until it’s too late!

Top Ten Names if Southern California is to Secede

OK, just when you think things can’t possibly get any crazier in California someone manages to push the envelope.  We now have a Riverside County Supervisor named Jeff Stone (Stoned?) who thinks California should secede from the rest of the state. According to CBS in Los Angeles, California…..

Stone said in a statement late Thursday that Riverside, Imperial, San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, Kings, Kern, Fresno, Tulare, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa and Mono counties should form the new state of South California.

Now it seems to me that if this insane idea ever gets off the ground that people all over the United States will be a might confused, especially the one in the White House who thinks we have 57 states.  I think that South California will be too easy to confuse with South Carolina even though they pretty much have nothing in common.

So, here’s my 10 suggestions for other names.

1. Crazifornia

2. Northern Mexico

3. Mexifornia

4. The State of Confusion

5. The State of La La

6. La Raza

7. Desertfornia

8. Brokifornia

9. Demafornia

10. Moonbeamafornia

You have to wonder if this supervisor is smoking something. I hope they don’t start flying the Confederate Flag and saying y’all.

Oh, and no fair! You have to take Los Angeles County, too!

Governor Moonbeam Whacks 25,000 Amazon Affiliates

It's the new 'Moonbeam' economy. Take in less, spend more, pray for new revenue.

It seems to me that perhaps Jerry Brown missed his calling.  Perhaps  he should have been a Mafia Hit-Man? I mean look at what happened this week.  Not one shot fired! No AK-47, no smart bombs, no cruise missiles, not even a pistol with a silencer. The weapon of choice? A mere pen. Yes, a pen. A pen so deadly it whacked 25,000 Amazon affiliates in one stroke.

So how silly is this? Well, people in California can continue to purchase products from Amazon and Amazon will not charge them California sales tax. Why? Because thanks to another misguided ‘moonbeam’ plan, Amazon cancelled all 25,00o of their California affiliates. Why? Well, according to a judicial decision if they don’t have any organization residing in the state, then they don’t have to collect sales tax. It’s called interstate commerce then, not intrastate, thus California cannot regulate it, only the Federal Government can.

‘Smart’ move Jerry! It might prove even ‘smarter’ when we find out how much income tax those 25,000 affiliates were paying, and ‘smarter’ yet when we see how many of them leave California for ‘greener’ pastures.  ‘Greener’ meaning they can actually make money elsewhere.

Guess what then Jerry? Well, they won’t be spending any of their income here either, meaning less sales for businesses. It could even mean fewer jobs because if they have employees they’ll either fire them, or perhaps they’ll move to those ‘greener’ pastures with them.

You can read more about ‘moonbeam’ economics created by insane mind Governor Moonbeam here.
